A Celebration of Culture, Community & Connection
In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, we invite you to a special cultural and musical event featuring The Book of Ruth, an ensemble whose music and message create a bridge across generations, cultures, and backgrounds.
This meaningful community event is designed to educate, inspire, and bring people together while honoring the Indigenous peoples who have lived upon, cared for, and maintained relationships with the lands we now live on and use every day. Through storytelling, poetry, dance, and music, attendees will have an opportunity to learn more about Native American history, culture, traditions, and contemporary experiences.
The program will feature Native American storytelling, poetry, and a traditional Blanket Dance, followed by a powerful concert performance by The Book of Ruth. Their music is empowering, motivational, and inspirational, offering messages of hope, resilience, self-worth, unity, and community that can resonate with people of all ages and backgrounds.
The event is intended to create a space where young and old can come together, discover shared experiences, celebrate cultural diversity, and recognize the common threads that connect us as human beings.

A Celebration with Purpose!
This event is also a Holiday Toy Drive, extending the spirit of giving beyond the concert. Guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to help bring joy to children who may spend the holiday season in the hospital.
Collected toys will be donated to the Pediatric Ward at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York, where children and their families may find themselves spending the holidays while receiving medical care.
For these children, a simple gift can provide a moment of happiness, comfort, and hope during a difficult time.

Come as you are. Sit with us. Share when you are ready. Listen when you need to.
The Indigenous Healing Circle is a welcoming space created to encourage healing, connection, cultural understanding, and community. Rooted in Indigenous traditions of gathering, storytelling, reflection, and collective support, the circle provides an opportunity to pause from the demands of everyday life and reconnect with ourselves, one another, our communities, and the natural world.
Healing is not always a straight path. Sometimes healing begins simply by being heard. Sometimes it begins with listening. Sometimes it begins by sitting quietly among people who understand that we all carry stories, experiences, losses, hopes, and dreams.
Our Healing Circle offers a respectful environment where participants can come together to:
-
Share stories, thoughts, and experiences in a supportive setting
-
Listen without judgment and practice compassionate understanding
-
Explore Indigenous teachings, traditions, and cultural perspectives
-
Reflect upon personal and collective experiences
-
Connect with community and build meaningful relationships
-
Honor ancestors, elders, families, and generations yet to come
-
Explore pathways toward emotional, spiritual, cultural, and community wellness
-
Reconnect with Mother Earth and the healing power of water, land, nature, and community
